Your SAP Business One web shop
Lean processes in online trading thanks to your web shop and SAP Business One
Suppose your company wants to start online trading. But maybe you don’t like the idea of having to maintain all your data in two separate systems? Neither do we! But we have the perfect solution. The ERP software SAP Business One and the e-Commerce web shop software speak the same language. Both applications automatically exchange product, customer, and order data, meaning that you can keep your business processes comfortable and lean.
How the web shop works
First, an initial data exchange between SAP Business One and web shop is performed to ensure that things get off to a good start. If you already use SAP Business One, any existing product and customer data will be transferred to the web shop.
Product data
All details (product description and number, prices, inventory, individual data, etc.) are maintained in SAP Business One. During operation, you can transfer the data from SAP Business One to the web shop with a single button click. Frequently updated data (prices, availability) are continuously retrieved by the web shop from the inventory management system.
Customer data
Whenever a new customer registers for the online shop, their data is transmitted to SAP Business One in real time, where a new “business partner” record is created. Later, for example if the customer edits their address, the web shop sends the new information to SAP Business One. The exchange also works in the other direction: if the dealer edits the customer data, they can transfer it from SAP Business One to the web shop with a mouse click.
Ordering data
our customers’ orders are transferred in real time from the web shop to SAP Business One, where an order number is generated. This number is immediately sent back to the shop and displayed to the customer in the order confirmation screen. The order status is tracked in SAP Business One, from where it is transferred to the web shop. Customers can track their order status at any time by logging in to their personal customer account.
